Taxi Driver


“You talkin’ to me? You talkin’ to me? You talkin’ to me? Then who the hell else are you talking… you talking to me? Well I’m the only one here. Who the fuck do you think you’re talking to? Oh yeah? OK.”

1976 anul unei aparitii surprinzatoare in  cadrul istoriei cinematografului modern, aparitia unui film atipic pentru aceasta perioada in care dominau alt gen de filme. Un film, o capodopera, o explorare a umanului, un traseu prin lumea singuritatii si a moralitatii.

Martin Scorsese “reinventeaza” conceptul de cinematografie, privind lucrurile prin prisma unei gandiri a unui personaj ce a devenit iconic, de referinta. Robert De Niro interpreteaza magistral un “erou” cu scopuri nobile, “deghizat” intr-un taximetrist nocturn cu probleme de somn si comportament. Un rol ce l-a lansat pe o treapta mai inalta a actoriei, l-a “aruncat”  in breasla marilor talente inca din tinerete.

Taxi Driver merita din partea fiecarui cunoscator/amator de filme niste laude binemeritate  plus o recomandare mai departe celor ce nu au apucat sa-l priveasca…

 “Loneliness has followed me my whole life. Everywhere. In bars, in cars, sidewalks, stores, everywhere. There’s no escape. I’m God’s lonely man… June 8th. My life has taken another turn again. The days can go on with regularity over and over, one day indistinguishable from the next. A long continuous chain…”
